Provide for the administration of the District Court, court dockets, jury coordination, and empanelment, register of court decisions, maintains court files, manage child support records (until November 1, 2001).

Issue writs and orders for provisional remedies and process of every kind. Provides for supervision of court orders, paperwork for Protection Orders, and any documents related to legal rulings. Maintains the journal dockets, data entry, microfilming, cases files, indexes search warrants and prepare criminal disposition reports to the State Patrol. Vital records to State Court Administration. Works with Seattle Passport Agency in acquiring passports or information on passports.

The county attorney has a duty to prosecute or defend all civil or criminal suits in which the state or county is a party or interested, on behalf of the state or county. The county attorney shall appear before any magistrate and conduct any criminal examination, prosecute all civil suits before any magistrate in which the state or county is a party or interested. When the county board or county officers request opinions or advice concerning duties of the offices or matter in which the state or county may have an interest, the county attorney shall give opinions of advice for no fee. The county attorney shall perform all duties enjoined by law upon the county coroner and shall be ex officio county coroner.
